Flash back to the year of 2001, Technology, Education and Career was a 3 days event where a simple and small Officiating Ceremony and Exhibition were held together. TEC also was originally known as Technology, Economy and Career and only in the year of 2004,  the name changed to Technology, Education and Career.

Today, TEC is recognised by more than hundreds of companies and institutions that have a range of interests from gaining knowledge, improving social skills, widening networking and also recruiting potential graduates for their benefits. These mutual benefits offered by TEC later on established itself as the largest Corporate Event in Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS.

Over the years, TEC features new theme, reflecting its maturity throughout the decade which  related to the currents issues happening in that particular year. Towards a New Dimension in Engineering & Technology ,Quality Graduates – The Engine for Future Growth and Opportunity within Uncertainty are among the themes that have been introduced in the previous years.

Through past years ,TEC attracts a huge crowd with risen number from 2001 until 2009. Remarking the success of TEC, those days became much more memorable when TEC  were  officiated by well respected minister and also non-governmental organization figures such as Deputy Minister of Higher Education,Y.B. Datuk Ir. Hj. Idris b. Hj. Haron and President of Malaysian Employers Federation ,Y. Bhg. Dato’ Azman Shah Bin Dato’ Seri Harun.

The drive to build  knowledge centre of careers in technology prospects is a huge responsibility but also apparently, is something that TEC are all passionate about. With the eye to the future, combination of excellent efforts  of the committee and the contribution of participating companies will surely make TEC a prestigious event which will be waited by thousands of visitors from all over the country.
